Serena Williams and Tampax? A good match?

Check out this article and link to the new commercial video of Serena and "mother nature."

Rates of Demetia in NFL

This article looked a little suspicious still because this is hypothesis level. It does not say anything about why it happens or why some people does not experience Dementia. This article just focus on retire football player and football itself, but it does not say about after life of retirement players and other physically aggressive sports like boxing. The cause of Dementia might be come from life style of life of after retirement. Anyway we do not know. This research does not look reliable yet, so I think players should not pay attention to it too much.
Even if this article was true, how many current players quit football for risk of future Dementia? All sports player or athletes have some degree of risk factor to get injury or unconformity. If they have risk factor, they just try to reduce it, but this article say about rate of Dementia in NFL and it finished. there is no useful information to prevent from Dementia. I hope researchers will research more detail and suggest prevention or other useful information.

sexism in professional female atheletes

Even prior to taking this class I wondered, why is it that women can't just be considered great atheltes why do they have to carry on the role of a sex symbol as well? Why do women such as Maria Sharapova or Danica Patrick only get recognition for being hot as opposed to being hot along with being extrodinarily good at what they originally get paid to do which is play tennis or race cars!!! Granted I'm not attempting to take away there hotness these two along with many other women who just so happen to be professional atheletes are very attractive but, is that all there is? I would like to propose that it is not! Danica Patrick was the first woman to win an Indy Car race. Yes, she beat out hundreds if not thousands of men and in her sport in particular is a massive feat. Maria Sharapova is a three time grand slam singles champion and she won her first grand slam at the age of seventeen. For any athelete, female or male, this is an amazing feat. Now why aren't we talking about that as opposed to saying Maria Sharapova man she's hot!!! I would have thought that as a society who has finally elected an African American president and sent a man to the moon that we have come so far but I fear that we have so much further to travel when it comes to growing in tolerance towards the advancement and equality of treatment that all women, regardless of race and culture, deserve. The fact that women still make .70-.80 to every dollar a man makes just means that we all need to work a lot harder to make this happen and the mentality starts amongst all of us. I personally want to make this happen. How about you?
