Barry Bonds Career is Dead

Barry Bonds has played 22 seasons in the major leagues and now his career is finally officially over at age 45. Bonds has been out of baseball for two years because of his ongoing steriod or "performance-enhancing drugs" scandal that still has the public and media talking today. I hope people can remember his 762 homers, 14 All-Star Games, seven NL MVP awards and many many more honors, and not just his illegal drug use.

I find it interesting how you ask if anyone will remember all of his great baseball achievements... I personally would not care to remember an athlete's sports performance if they were using illegal drugs because how much of their accomplishment was raw talent or their use of steroids? These athletes are given strict rules to follow and have the money to hire dietitians or personal trainers that can give them proper supplements to take instead of using steroids. Whether or not you agree that the use of steroids should be illegal, you can agree that if it is against baseball rules to use steroids that any achievements made using steroids should be discredited. Using steroids to hit over 700 home runs is like cheating on exam to get an A. If you are caught cheating on an exam most teachers would give you a zero on the assignment and some would turn you into the school. Barry Bonds deserves to get his accomplishments discredited if he is using steroids to achieve them.
