According to reports, Iverson has an alcohol and gambling issues. Take in consideration, Iverson is 34 and he about to lose his high school sweet heart and his 5 kids. As for his career in basketball, all the partying and drinking has taken its toll on his body; back issues and knee pains. 76er’s has dropped Iverson off the team because they don’t want him bringing the extra baggage that he is carrying around with him. Iverson needs help and the only person that can help Iverson correct his problems is former Georgetown coach John Thompson. Thompson is a father figure, and when he talks everyone listens. Thompson is the only guy that will be able to talk to Iverson about his problems.
