In this Sports Illustrated article basically it was talking about boys' and girls' lacrosse teams and how this one girl loved they game so much that she wanted to play on the boys' team. However, this caused controversy because there is a big difference in boys' lacrosse and girls' lacrosse. The difference is the boys' lacrosse are more physical than the girls. In addition, the idaho girl believes there shouldn't be such a big difference in the same sport. In agreement, I feel that the girls' lacrosse shouldn't be so totally different from the guys just because they are girls. There should be the same kind of rules for both genders who are playing the same sport and there shouldn't be any discrimination towards girls who love this sport and who simply just want to play a physical and competitive game.

I agree with Erika on this topic. Women should be able to play the sport if they want to. There are not a lot of full body contact sports that women participate in today, because people feel that full contact sports are too dangerous. Lacrosse is a full contact and tough sport, but if the girls feel they can compete with the boys I think they should get a chance. I think that the girl could participate in the sport, but she just might have to train harder than the boys. Women are athletes too and should be given the opportunity that males have. Including, women should be able to play with the boys. If the girls do well or better then the boys; then, maybe the sport could be coed. The difference between the male’s lacrosse and women’s lacrosse should not be so different that we should not give the girl a chance.
