Since coming into the league straight out of high school, Lebron James has had to deal with the spotlight of being a superstar. I mean this was a kid who at the age of 16 was anointed as the next best thing in basketball. He has had a lot to deal with in terms of off the court stuff. The media is constantly watching his every move. I believe he has done an incredible job handling his stardom, considering he has done everything the right way since he has entered the league. There are no reports of him acting wildly at a club, or brandishing a weapon, or putting himself in a position to receive the bad type of media coverage. The media seems to waver on how they want to portray this great basketball player. Since there is no news to talk about off the court, the media must talk about where he may go in the summer of free agency, or perhaps why he didnt shoot enough in a certain game or why he was wearing a Yankees hat at a baseball game. It just really shows that the media does control to a certain degree how we see athletes. They cover all the bad stuff, but dont spend as much time talking about the great things players do in their spare time. The King continues to amaze me at how he handles situations that come up, and that is a trademark of a champion and a winner
